- 2 cans (5 oz each) tuna in water, drained
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- ¼ cup finely chopped celery
- ¼ cup finely chopped red onion
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter (for cooking)
Instructions
- Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, egg, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, celery, red onion, cheddar cheese, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form Patties: Form the mixture into 6 evenly sized patties.
- Cook Patties: Heat the olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook for 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted inside.
- Serve: Remove from heat and let rest for a minute before serving.
