- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1–2 tablespoons heavy cream (as needed for consistency)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Prepare the cakes: Whisk together the dry ingredients in a bowl. Cream butter and sugar, mix in wet ingredients and buttermilk. Divide batter, tint with food coloring, drop onto baking sheets, and bake.
- Make the filling: Beat butter and marshmallow fluff, add sugar, vanilla, and cream until light and spreadable.
- Assemble: Spread or pipe filling on half of the cakes, top with remaining cakes, and roll edges in sprinkles if desired.
- Storage: Store in an airtight container.
