Description
Tender beef sirloin tips cooked in a sweet and savory teriyaki sauce using the Ninja Foodi pressure cooker. This Asian-inspired dish is perfect for a quick and flavorful meal.
Ingredients
Scale
Beef Tips:
- 1 ½ pounds beef sirloin tips, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Sauce:
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
- Sliced green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Sear Beef: Turn the Ninja Foodi to Sauté mode and heat the olive oil. Add the beef tips and sear until browned on all sides, about 5–7 minutes. Press Cancel.
- Prepare Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together the beef broth, teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger. Pour the sauce over the beef.
- Pressure Cook: Close the lid, set the valve to Seal, and pressure cook on High for 15 minutes. Once the cook time ends, allow a natural release for 10 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure.
- Thicken Sauce: Switch back to Sauté mode. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Serve: Serve over rice and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
Notes
- You can substitute flank or stew meat if sirloin isn’t available, but increase cook time by 5 minutes for tougher cuts.
- For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
