  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Chopped parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Pound the chicken breasts: Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook the chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C). Remove chicken and set aside.
  3. Prepare the sauce: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium-low and add the honey, garlic, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Stir and simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over each piece. Simmer for another 2–3 minutes to coat and heat through.
  4. Serve: Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
