Description

Delicious and quick Asian-inspired garlic butter steak lightning noodles recipe that’s perfect for a flavorful weeknight dinner. Tender sirloin steak, garlic, and savory sauces combine with ramen noodles for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale

    Steak:

  • 12 ounces sirloin steak thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • Noodles:

  • 8 ounces fresh or dried ramen noodles (discard seasoning packet if using instant)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Toasted sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook Noodles: Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook noodles until just tender, then drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare Sauce: Whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil in a small bowl; set aside.
  3. Cook Steak: Season steak with salt and pepper. Sear in a skillet over high heat until browned. Remove from pan.
  4. Make Garlic Butter Sauce: Lower heat to medium, add butter to the skillet, cook garlic until fragrant. Add cooked noodles and sauce, then return steak to the pan. Toss everything together until heated through.
  5. Finish and Serve: Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a splash of lime juice before serving.
  • Substitute flank steak for sirloin or use chicken or shrimp.
  • For extra heat, add more crushed red pepper or sriracha.
