  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

For the mashed potatoes:

  • 2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup whole milk, warmed
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the steak: Season cubed steak with salt and pepper. Sear in a skillet until browned. Set aside.
  2. Make the garlic butter: Cook minced garlic in butter until fragrant. Toss steak in the garlic butter.
  3. Cook the potatoes: Boil cubed potatoes until tender. Mash with butter, sour cream, and milk.
  4. Serve: Plate the steak bites over mashed potatoes and drizzle with extra garlic butter.
