For the Biscuit Bake:
- 1 (16 oz) can refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1 lb deli roast beef, thinly sliced
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss or provolone cheese
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 (10.5 oz) can beef consommé or au jus concentrate
- 1/2 cup water
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat and Prep: Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. In a skillet, sauté onions in butter until caramelized. Add Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and thyme. Remove from heat.
- Assemble: Cut biscuits into quarters. Combine with roast beef, onion mixture, and cheese. Transfer to baking dish.
- Bake: Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Prepare Au Jus: Simmer beef consommé and water in a saucepan for dipping.
