  • Zest of 1 large orange
  • 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup chopped almonds (plus more for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan.
  2. Soften dates: Combine chopped dates with baking soda and boiling water, then let sit for 10 minutes.
