Description

This Crock Pot Chicken and Stuffing with Green Beans recipe is a comforting and easy slow cooker meal that combines tender chicken, creamy sauce, savory stuffing, and crisp green beans in one delicious dish.

Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Sauce:

  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Stuffing:

  • 1 (6 oz) box stuffing mix

Green Beans:

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen green beans
  • 2 tablespoons butter, cut into pieces

Instructions

  1. Prepare Slow Cooker: Lightly grease the inside of your slow cooker.
  2. Layer Ingredients: Place chicken breasts in a single layer in the bottom of the crock pot.
  3. Make Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together cream of chicken soup, sour cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper. Spread the mixture evenly over the chicken.
  4. Add Stuffing and Green Beans: Sprinkle the dry stuffing mix evenly over the top. Scatter the green beans over the stuffing, then dot the top with butter pieces.
  5. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2 1/2–3 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  6. Serve: Fluff the stuffing before serving and spoon sauce over the top of each portion.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, sear the chicken breasts in a skillet before adding them to the slow cooker.
  • You can also use canned green beans, but add them during the last hour of cooking to prevent over-softening.
