- 1 block (14 oz) extra-firm tofu
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch or arrowroot powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika or chili flakes for extra flavor
Instructions
- Drain and Press Tofu: Drain tofu and press for 15–20 minutes. Cut into 1-inch cubes.
- Season Tofu: Gently toss tofu with soy sauce, oil, garlic powder, black pepper, and optional spices. Coat with cornstarch.
- Air Fry: Preheat to 375°F. Spray basket, arrange tofu in a single layer, and air fry for 12–15 minutes, shaking halfway.
- Serve: Enjoy immediately with sauce or add to dishes.
Notes
- For crispier tofu, press longer or refrigerate uncovered overnight. Add teriyaki, sweet chili, or peanut sauce after cooking for extra flavor.
