Ingredients

Scale

For the Baked Beans:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 6 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cans (15 ounces each) pork and beans
  • 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 ounces) pinto beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Cook the bacon: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. Cook the beef: In the same skillet, cook the ground beef and diced onion until browned. Add the garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Combine ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the beef mixture, beans, barbecue sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and spices. Stir well.
  5. Bake: Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake uncovered for 45 minutes.
