For the dough:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
For the filling:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
For the glaze:
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F and prepare muffin tin.
- Cool muffins for 5 minutes after baking.
In a large bowl, combine dry dough ingredients. In another bowl, mix wet ingredients. Combine wet and dry mixtures. Fill muffin cups halfway with batter. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mix. Top with more batter. Drizzle with butter, swirl, and bake.
Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over warm muffins.
