Ingredients
Scale
Cookies:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Topping:
- About 36 Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
- Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Bake: Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden but the centers are still soft.
- Add Kisses: Immediately press one unwrapped Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
