Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, mash the bananas, then add melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until well combined.
- Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Add chocolate chips: Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smooth the top, and sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top if desired. Bake for 55–65 minutes.
- Cool and serve: Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
