- ¼ cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Prepare wet ingredients: In a large bowl, beat the eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, oil, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in the dry ingredients, then fold in the grated carrots and nuts.
- Bake: Spread the batter in the pan and bake for 25–30 minutes. Cool completely.
- Make frosting: Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt, beat until fluffy.
