Description

  • 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Cream butter and sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and bananas: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and mashed bananas.
  4. Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture and mix until just combined.
  5. Add optional ingredients: Fold in walnuts or chocolate chips if using.
  6. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly. Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool and serve: Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
