Ingredients

Scale

For the Dough:

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, softened

For the Filling:

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas. Add warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy. Stir in the eggs.
  2. Add the Flour: Gradually mix in the flour and salt until a dough forms. Knead in the softened butter until smooth. Let rise for 1-2 hours.
  3. Make the Filling: In a bowl, mix brown sugar, softened butter, and cinnamon until well combined.
  4. Assemble the Rolls: Roll out the dough, spread the filling, and roll it into a log. Cut into slices and place in a greased pan. Let rise for another 30 minutes.
  5. Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Glaze: In a bowl, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle over the warm rolls.

Notes

  • You can add chopped nuts or raisins to the filling for extra texture.
  • These rolls are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a day or two.
