Description

A flavorful and satisfying recipe featuring tender shredded chicken mixed with creamy cheeses and ranch dressing, all wrapped in buttery crescent rolls and baked to golden perfection. Perfect as a delicious appetizer or a hearty snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken Filling

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (rotisserie chicken works well)
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing (or your preferred dressing)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Pastry

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent rolls (8 rolls)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken Filling: In a medium-sized bowl, combine the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, ranch dressing, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir everything together until the mixture is smooth and well combined. Set aside.
  2. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) so it can reach the ideal temperature while you prepare the rolls.
  3. Prepare the Crescent Rolls: Unroll the crescent rolls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Separate the dough into individual triangles as indicated on the packaging.
  4. Stuff the Crescent Rolls: Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the prepared chicken mixture onto the wide end of each crescent roll triangle. Carefully roll the crescent rolls up starting from the wide end, making sure to fully enclose the filling inside the dough.
  5. Bake the Crescent Rolls: Arrange the stuffed crescent rolls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart to allow for expansion. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the filling is heated through.
  6. Serve: Remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy them warm for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • You can substitute ranch dressing with any preferred dressing to suit your taste.
  • Use rotisserie chicken for convenience and added flavor.
  • Ensure the cream cheese is softened for easy mixing.
  • Serve with a side of fresh salad or dipping sauce for a complete snack or meal.
  • If making ahead, bake the rolls just before serving for optimal freshness.
